Assistant Manager

Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, you will play a key role in all restaurant operations. With a commitment to best practice, you will lead the continuous development of your crew members, whilst maximising the growth and profitability of your business.

About the Role

The Assistant Manager is responsible for the safe, effective, and efficient operation of the restaurant whilst performing their duties. They will be Guest obsessed, providing outstanding quality, service, and cleanliness to our guests, through their people.

Duties

  • Conduct structured training for crew members
  • Deliver individual coaching & mentoring sessions
  • Develop shift plans
  • Drive sales & profitability
  • Monitor production controls
  • Complete business reporting for sales, service & safety
  • Maintain profitability by closely monitoring costs
  • Manage all shift safety & hygiene requirements

Skills & Experience

  • Retail or Hospitality leadership experience preferable
  • Experience delivering exceptional customer service
  • Exceptional organisational & time management skills
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills
  • Proven ability to adapt and learn quickly

Management Training Plan

If successful – you will undertake a 12-week training program to ensure you are set up for success and ready to immerse yourself into our brand and business.

Week 1 to 6 – Crew Station Training

  • This allows our managers exposure to completing crew tasks. We can’t coach something we can’t do ourselves!

Week 7 to 11 – Leadership/Management Training

  • This covers everything from basic shift running, policies, procedures and expectations, goal setting, KPI’s, food safety and delegation.

Week 12 – Certification

  • Your training plan is reviewed, and shift audits are performed to ensure the manager is ready to run a shift unsupervised.

    1. Employer Reference checks to be completed by recruiter
    2. Police clearance certificate to be arranged by candidate
    3. AU Working Rights Checks (ID documents reviewed)
  7. Job offer presented to candidates that pass the pre-employment checks
